Abstract

Bongsan Talchum could be characterized as a Korean dance performed while wearing a mask, miming, speaking and even sometimes singing. Each chapter showed a no connection story with another. However, the performance of Miyal in the last chapter brings grief to the status of women in polygamy. If remove the social factor, through the story of Miyal, we can see the religious culture of the ancient Koreans when it comes to Shamanism, which is the ancient belief of mankind.
