Author Guidelines

  1. HUFLIT Science Journal (HJS) publishes the research works from researchers and lecturers inside and outside the university. These have not been published in journals or other scientific publications (including internet publications). They are results of scientific and practical valuable works within the university’s advantageous fields.
  2. All formats and sizes of the articles submitted to HJS are acceptable; however, when approved for publication, the author should abide by the regulations of HJS template.
  3. When approved for publication, the authors/groups of authors sould provide a biodata around 100 - 150 words in the paragraph form such as: date and place of your academic degrees; your current affiliation, job; your research areas of interest.
  4. The articles include: article title (using capital letters); full name of the author, affiliation, email address, if the first author is not the coordinator, the coordinator should be proposed; the abstract is no more than 10 lines (if the article is in Vietnamese, the abstract and title of the article should be in English); the keywords (about 3-5 words); the article content (including parts with main content of a main scientific article such as: problem statement, problem solutions, research results and comments).
  5. The article uses an objective style, passive form is possible, with common terminology and symbols; new, unfamiliar terms need a brief explanation. Annotated images must be clear; the name or caption of the figures or drawings is placed below, of the table above; figures and tables must be numbered and referenced in the text.
  6. The reference is a list of sources cited in the article. This source should comprise the information such as: full name of author, title of article, title of journal, title of book or book chapter, publisher (or website), year of publication (or access time), journal number, volume number, page number of the book. In general, it is necessary to provide enough information to prove the existence of this document from which it can be found. After each citation/reference, it is necessary to specify the number of the reference and enclosed in square brackets, if necessary, include the page number from which the author has cited, such as [1] or [2, pp.18-20].
  7. The reference is arranged in the order of citation in the article (the first cited document should be number [1]). The list of documents is presented as follows, please refer to the website of the Journal.
  • For books/dissertations/scientific reports: serial number, full name of author or issuing agency, title of book/dissertation/scientific report (in italics), publisher, place of publication, total number of pages, year of publication.
  • For articles in magazines/newspapers/books: serial number, author's first and last name, author's name of article, title of journal/newspaper/book (in italics), volume, number, page numbers, year of publication.
  • For government documents: serial number, issuing organization, name or abstract of the document, document number, year of publication.
  • The names of foreign documents should be written in the language of the publishing country, without phonetic transfer, nor translation.
