A STUDY ON TEACHING METHODS OF KOREAN CONJUNCTIVE ENDING ‘-은데/는데’ FOR VIETNAMESE LEARNERS
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present suggestions for accurate use of the conjunctive ending ‘-은데/는데’ for Vietnamese Korean learners at beginner level. Firstly, the meaning, function, and limitations of the conjunctive ending ‘-은데/는데’ were systematically reorganized through previous studies. Because the functions and meanings of conjunctive ending ‘-은데/는데’ are diverse and used in various types of situations, Korean learners often do not properly understand the functions and meanings, making various errors while using them. Therefore, a survey was conducted targeting Vietnamese Korean learners at the beginner level. After analyzing the results of the survey, an appropriate educational plan was presented to help learners resolve their errors regarding the conjunctive ending ‘-은데/는데’. The research results of conjunctive ending ‘-은데/는데’ are significant in providing useful grammar education content for beginner level. Based on this study, the intermediate and advanced level of conjunctive ending ‘-은데/는데’ will can left as a research topic in the future.
