Abstract

This study looked at ways to teach Korean alphabet and pronunciation for learners studying Korean in Vietnam. Pronunciation education needs to be conducted more systematically and professionally when targeting learners who major in Korean. To achieve this, teachers must have at least an understanding and knowledge of the alphabet system and phonemes of the learner's native language. This is because it is necessary to understand the similarities and differences between the learner's native language and Korean, and to find ways for the learner to access it more easily and efficiently by utilizing the phonetic characteristics of the learner's native language
