The study aims to identify the most important activities in the internal value chain of a software enterprise, thereby proposing an optimal chain model. The author chose this industry because it is one of the key spearheads of the 4.0 technology revolution, helping to digitize other industries and bring many benefits to stakeholders. In particular, since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the promulgated epidemic prevention medical standards have caused a drastic change in production methods and shopping behavior towards "contactless". This has pushed the software industry to develop, creating many applications to support production and online shopping, to meet the urgent needs of society. This industry also opens up opportunities for development and escaping poverty for many countries such as India, China, Vietnam, etc. With the strong evolutionary requirements and fierce competition of the industry, software companies also adopt the Merger and Acquistion (M&A) strategy to acquire the latest technologies, reduce competition as well as increase the number of users. Software technology is also one of the industries with the number of deals and M&A value always in the leading group. Therefore, the author also studies the impact of M&A activities on other parts of the internal value chain of a software company to make appropriate recommendations for businesses as well as the government. The study uses documents and statistics compiled from many domestic and international sources, analyzes the impacts and consults with experts to come up with the most optimal internal value chain model and recommendations to help businesses synergize best after Mergers and Acquisitions.
